Alexander Hughes took the stage name of “Judge Dread” after one of Prince Busters songs (found HERE) whom he met while he was working as a bouncer in a London Night Club. Mainly known for his Rude Reggae tunes Judge Dread made a name for himself when he capitalized off of the popularity of Prince Busters hit song “Big 5″ with his own ruder version called “Big 6″. He went on to record a “Big 7, “Big 8″, etc… This was Judge Dread’s first full length album released in 1973.
