The English Beat covered “Whine & Grind” on their tune “”Whine & Grine/Stand Down Margaret” off their 1980 debut album “I Just Can’t Stop It”.
The Soul Vendors formed out of the earlier group The Soul Brothers, which in turn had formed out of the Skatalites.
Oddly Rico Rodriguez’s name is misspelled here as “Reco Radregez”. I have found his named misspelled 2 different other ways on the album “Reco in Reggae Land” (found HERE) as both “Reco Rodregraz” and “Reco Rodreguez”.
