       When the Skatalites disbanded in August of 1965, Roland Alphonso formed the Soul Brothers with fellow Skatalite members, Johnny “Dizzy” Moore and Jackie Mittoo. During the next few years the Soul Brothers line up changed leaving only Jackie Mittoo as the lone ex-Skatalite member.
